I just bought this new/old stock watch last week and decided I didn't want it because it's in such great shape, I wouldn't wear it haha. And I like to wear my watches. We just opened the box once to take a look and closed it, so of course, never wore it. I did kind of check the band and it is still flexible and not stiff and dried out. I think you could comfortably wear it if you wanted. The original box it comes in is in great condition too with a few scratches here and there from handling. Im overall very impressed with how well it has been preserved for 30 years. It runs great and the seller said they just put a new battery in it.
